Mug Season awaits!

Every year our clay group - Central Maine Clay Artists - Sell mugs in 4-5 local coffee shops in the Augusta, Hallowell area.  The money from the sale of these mugs goes to local public schools to support their clay programs!  We love to do this, but this year we are diverging from the coffee shops (don't worry we will be back next year)  and having our very own Mug Season show in Gardiner at the Center for Maine Craft!

Show dates: March 2nd - April 30th.                                     Opening reception: March 15th  4-6 pm.

All of the clay artists in our group are trying something different with their mugs and also producing a sculptural piece for the wall or podium!

I grew up on a small farm in southern New Hampshire, and I now live and work on a small farm with my husband and two children in Windsor, Maine.  I am very much inspired by the farm animals and wildlife that inhabit our landscape!  On our farm we raise Chickens, Cows, Horses and Sheep.  We also have 4 Cats, a Rabbit and Dog who all keep my life very busy, fun and lively!  All of these creatures find their way into my clay work whether it is in sculpture or painting, I just love the way they can take on so many different shapes and with all there different their personalities, create wonderful fun variations of the same animal!
